There were 4 extras which comprised 1 No Ball, 2 wide and 1 leg bye. The total runs scored by the team Bangladesh Women was only 80 runs with 8 wickets in 20 overs. Some players like Jahanara Alam didn’t get the chance to bat. The highest run taker was captain Nigar Sultana who scored 32 runs in 51 balls having the strike rate of  62.75. Now, what you are thinking is what is the concept of strike rate? It is basically the percentage of number of runs a player scored with the number of balls played. Higher the strike rate is better for the batter.

The highest number of 6s was played by Dilara Akter(1) and the highest number of 4s was played by Murshida Khatun, Nigar Sultana and Shorna Akter(2 each).

Let me just elaborate it, it basically means the no. of overs a bowler bowled with respect to the runs sacrificed. Lower the economy rate, better for the bowlers.

Bangladesh women vs India women’s national cricket team match highlights

After the match, the Bangladesh women captain stated “We need to fix our batting. We are losing a lot of games because of it and couldn’t understand what we wanted. We lost too many wickets in the PowerPlay and that impaired us. When the top order is not making runs, it is difficult for teams to come up with runs.” while Player of the match Renuka Singh says, “When you work hard, every wicket is special. It’s a big match and it feels good to do well.” and the captain of India women cricket team Smriti Mandhana says, “Bowlers did very well. Good to see plans being performed.

They’re coming up with brilliant ideas, hitting the right line and length. They step up when I need them to and I can’t ask for more.  Consistency is important for us. We’ve been doing well for a long time. We hope to keep doing well and have been dominating Asian cricket and want to keep doing what we are doing for a long time. We prepare ourselves very hard in nets, so that when we go out there, we don’t feel pressure.”
